ABOUT ME

Badger Pet Care (a division of RC Acres, LLC) is owned and operated by Roberta Nelson of Brooklyn, WI.  My one true passion in life is now, and always has been - animals. I have over 20 years of experience caring for my own pets, as well as over 10 years of experience caring for those of friends, family and clients. My experience ranges from small pocket pets, cats, and dogs - to large animals such as horses, donkeys, llamas and alpacas.

My family and I currently live with a menagerie of horses, dogs, miniature donkeys and very spoiled barn cats.

Insurance and Associations:

I carry both pet sitters liability and special property coverage (bond) insurance thru Pet Sitters Associates, LLC out of Eau Claire WI.  I am a proud member of the following organizations: Pet Sitters Associates, LLC (PSA); Professional Pet Sitters of Wisconsin (PPAW), and Madison Area Pet Sitters (MAPS).  I am affiliated with many fine pet sitting groups including Pet Sitters Conference and Pet Sit Life.

Certifications and Education:

I am Red Cross Pet First Aid certified.  I have attended and/or participated many animal training, behavioral, and health seminars and clinics.  I continue to expand my knowledge of animals, their behaviors, and health - each and every day.

Our Menagerie:

Our dogs are named Noah and Penney.

Noah is a 3 year old black lab/greyhound mix.  He's a very easy going, fun loving guy.

Penney is a 1 1/2 year old miniature pinscher mix.  She's very feisty, yet so loveable.

The miniature donkeys are named Bucky and Zoey.

Our current barn cats are named Brooks, Taylor, BB, Schoie and Zack.

And the horses currently in our pastures are named Knick and Masque.
