Why do we need to do a walk-thru visit? Do you charge per pet, per visit, or how? Can you provide services in your home rather than mine? What can I expect during your visits? What are your normal hours for services? Can I schedule other service personnel in my home while you are pet sitting? Will you care for Rabbits? Fish? Rats? Goats? Horses? When do you require payment for the services? What will you do with my keys after the services? What is your cancellation policy? Why do we need to do a walk-thru visit? I require a walk-thru visit before your first service can be provided. This visit allows us time to go through all the paperwork and insure that I understand exactly what services you require. More importantly - It gives me the opportunity to meet your pet(s) and get to know them & you briefly, so that we both know what to expect. This first visit is free. Do you charge per pet, per visit, or how? My rates are based on an allotted time period - generally 30 minutes - unless other arrangements have been made. I will attempt to perform all the services that you have requested in that time period. Any additional time that is needed - either due to unexpected events (e.g. clean-ups), or because the time allotted was not enough to complete all requested tasks - will be charged to you. I will generally leave the bill for the extra services on my last visit. These additional charges must be paid within 10 days of receipt. Can you provide services in your home rather than mine? I can provide pet care services in my home on a limited basis. The fees for this type of service are equivalent to 3.5 visits per day. This is due to the extended level of attention and care your pet will receive. What can I expect during your visits? You can expect that whatever services that you have requested, will be performed as you have requested. I will feed, water, walk, play with, pet, brush, groom, turn out, clean up, etc. - whatever you have requested. I will not take a pet outside unless it has a leash and collar. If there are services you would like performed that you do not see listed, please call me to discuss them. What are your normal hours for services? My regular hours are from 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM. I will make every attempt to service your pets around the time they normally are fed and have potty breaks. I will schedule the services in a one - two hour time blocks. If I am unable to make that time block due to unforeseen circumstances, I will utilize a backup plan to care for your pet(s). I understand that it can be stressful having a stranger come into your home for the first time. I welcome any and all questions at the walk-thru visit. I strive to be honest, dependable, and extremely careful. I welcome you to call any of my current or prior clients as references, and will gladly provide you a list of references upon request. Can I have schedule other service personnel in my home while you are pet sitting? I strongly recommend that you do not allow other service personnel or people into your home during vacations. Pets have a tendency to enter areas of the house they are not supposed to be in, or may get locked in an area they can't get out of - when others are in the house. The other visitor(s) may not realize the pet followed them. If a service visit is required, it should be scheduled in advance so that I know when to expect it. Also if the visitor is expected during the same time period that I am - they should leave a note on the front door when they arrive, so that I am aware they are present. I will call the police if I see unexpected visitors. Will you care for Rabbits? Fish? Rats? Goats? Horses? Yes I have experience with a variety of pets. If I have not previously cared for a specific pet, I will take extensive notes so that I can insure the very best care for your pet while you are away. Every pet sit is a learning experience in & of itself!! Though I will admit I am not fond of snakes . . . When do you require payment for the services? Payment is due in full prior to receiving services. If it is your first service, I will request payment at the walk-thru visit. If you are a repeat customer - I will allow you to leave the payment in a prominent place on my first visit. If you need to cancel the services for any reason - a cancellation fee may apply. What will you do with my keys after the services? I will request a house key during the walk-thru visit. After the services, I will either store your key in a safe until your next services, or I will return the key to you. If you request the key be returned, I can either leave it during my last visit, or you can call to schedule a date for me to drop it off or for you to pick it up. What is your cancellation policy? My cancellation policy is based on the amount of notice given for the cancellation, as follows:
